How to Calculate Your Numbers
and What They Mean.
The study of Numerology is the study of the numerical value of the letters in names and the vibration of numbers. The most popular style of Numerology is attributed to Pythagoras and dates back to as early as 400 B.C.
Numerology affects every aspect of your life as words and names have vibrations and can affect you in ways beyond your imagination. It is believed that certain numbers affect the physical world, and by that extension each word resonates with us in a certain way. These numbers influence areas of your life from personal development to professional choices.
The number you get when you analyze the numbers of every letter in your full birth name is sometimes called your “Expression number,” while you can get your “Personality number” by looking at only the consonants. Your birth date added up gives you your “Life Path”. This is sometimes also known as your “Soul Number”, “Soul Urge”, and “Destiny Number”.
The Numbers of Your Name
To find the numbers of your name you need to assign a number to each letter of your name. For this exercise, each letter of your name will be given a number from 1 to 9 as follow:
1 – A, J, S
2 – B, K, T
3 – C, L, U
4 – D, M, V
5 – E, N, W
6 – F, O, X
7 – G, P, Y
8 – H, Q, Z
9 – I, R
You should use your full name or birth name which can be usually found on your official identification. If you have a middle name, any unique prefixes, or unique suffixes, you should also include that.
Once you have a number for each letter of your full name, add the numbers up. It helps if you use a pen and paper to work through this. If your name has 10 letters, you should add up each of the 10 numbers.
Very likely, you will end up with a double digit number. The next step then, is to reduce the sum of your name’s numbers to a single digit. Add up the two numbers and you should get one number. If not, add up those numbers again until you get a single digit.
The exception to this is if your full name adds up to 11, 22, or 33. These are known as “Master Numbers”. These add an additional meaning to your Numerology reading.
Master Numbers
In Numerology, there are 3 numbers known as “Master Numbers”. These are 11, 22, and 33. If your name, birth date, or any other Numerological calculation ends in one of these numbers, congratulations!
Master Numbers possess more potential than other numbers and have powerful influences on your life. People with Master Numbers are born to do something special. Master Numbers have the potential to affect the world and bring change in a deep, fundamental way.
People who possess master numbers are born with innate gifts of leadership, wisdom, or compassion.

Other Important Numbers
Life Path Number: The Life Path Number is calculated using the day, month, and year of your birth. It tells you about the underlying forces that drive your life and what you are striving for. Of all the numbers in Numerology, this is probably the most important number to take note of.
Soul Urge Number: The Soul Urge Number is another name for your Life Path Number.
Birthday Number: This is simply the day that you were born. E.g. if your birthday falls on the 15th of March, then your Birthday number is “15”. Which of course will reduce to a “6”. It tells you about your gifts that you were born with.
Expression Number: This is calculated using your full name. The Expression Number reveals your individual strengths and weaknesses that will affect you in your lifetime.
Personality Number: The Personality Number is calculated by looking at only the consonants of your full name. It represents how others see you and the impression that you leave on them.
Personal Day, Month, and Year cycles: These numbers are calculated for each day, month, or year. They forecast what vibrations will be affecting you during the period that it is calculated for. This also demonstrates that life is a cycle where you start each period on the vibrations of a 1 and end on a 9 only to return to 1 again.
The Secret of the Numbers
Once you have the number of your full name, all that is left is to look up the meaning of the numbers. This will tell you the core traits of your personality as well as the traits that are commonly associated with you.
